The Presidente Vargas SHP was inaugurated in 1952, being used for electricity generation at the Monte Alegre unit. -  FSC庐 CERTIFICATION OF ECOSYSTEM SERVICES

The work being conducted at the Nascentes Farm at the Serra da Farofa RPPN in Santa Catarina state has yielded us simultaneous recognition of verified positive impacts of three Ecosystem Services, making 含羞草传媒 the first company in the country to achieve all three simultaneously: Biodiversity Conservation (ES1), Carbon Sequestration and Storage (ES2), and Watershed Services (ES3). The certifications confirm our commitment to nature conservation, as well as the efforts made and responsibility undertaken to ensure the sustainability of the entire value chain. To obtain the certifications, 含羞草传媒 undertook commitments on three different fronts, which included diagnosing, monitoring and maintaining biodiversity in the region, protecting the areas against fires and from illegal fishing and hunting, maintaining the quality and availability of water resources, and constantly enhancing its knowledge of subjects involving the three ecosystem services.
